ABOUT ME
Hi everyone! My name is Prajna Upadhyaya. I am a freshman at Tufts University in Massachusetts. I am a creative, outgoing, and passionate individual who enjoys education and the arts. In late high school, I found my passion in: public health, creative writing, and biology. Currently, I am using this platform to explore and spread my passions and interests while also helping others achieve the same.
WHY I CREATED THIS PROJECT
I was fortunate to be surrounded by friends and parents driven to succeed. In contrast, I often met individuals in my community who had the will to learn but lacked motivation. The Covid-19 pandemic severely impacted them, stripping away the small boosts of confidence they received from peers at school. This inspired the creation of the Art of Biology, a welcoming platform where students can feel excited and confident about learning the intriguing processes of biology. As I developed this platform, I discovered a strong interest in educating others about noncommunicable diseases, realizing many were unaware of them. Consequently, the mission of the Art of Biology evolved to not only inspire interest to learn but also raise awareness about NCDs, aiming to cultivate a healthier society for future generations.
